When to Take Creatine Supplements? Pre-Workout or Post-Work

The ACSM website ( American college of sports and medicine) tells all the supplements and their advantage including creatine monohydrate. Had my first dosage of creatine monohydrate yesterday 30 minutes before my heavy workout.
